I recently finished narrating The Chicago Connection, the fourth book in the Peter English, PI Mystery series of novels. I have narrated five novels for audiobooks. The first was Band of Strangers, written by James Cullen. It is about his experiences in battle in the European Theatre of War during WWII. I was honored to be allowed to narrate this book. 

   I have written, published, and narrated all four Peter English, PI novels. They are available through Amazon in Paperback, on Kindle, and as Audiobooks. If you like the old black & white film noir crime movies and radio shows of the 1940s and '50s, I think you would enjoy reading or listening to these novels.

   The Frame, first novel in the series, introduces you to Peter English, a private investigator who has a law degree, but enjoyed being an MP during WWII so much, he joined the Memphis Police department after the war. He was an outstanding police officer and was eventually promoted to detective. But being an honest cop in those days was not popular among his fellow officers, the brass, many at City Hall or in the underworld.

   When they could not buy him off, they framed him for something he did not do. His wife died and he lost his job about the same time. He no longer carried a badge, but he still carried a gun...and he was still a detective, a damn good detective. He swore to get even and bring down those who framed him, and either see them behind bars or eliminated. And he didn't care how many bodies were left in his wake!

   Murder on the 13th Green was the second book in the Peter English, PI Mystery series. Arriving at The Riverview Country Club on a crisp fall Saturday morning for a round of golf with his father and a couple of other golfers is prevented when four bodies are discovered on the 13th green...shot execution-style. Pete was called on to help the police find out who did this and why. This story is full of twists and turns, as well as more murder and mayhem. 

   Pete again finds himself up against organized crime, bullets and bad guys, and babes to boot. What is a crime story without flying lead and pretty girls...both good and bad.

   The Main Street Murders, book three in the series. Bodies start turning up on Main Street...in broad open daylight...shot execution style. Then a hit list is discovered in the bloody pocket of one of the victims...and Pete's name is on it. Could an old nemesis be behind this? And who or what is the Main Street killer? Bullets, bad guys and babes seem to be a way of life for Pete...or death. 

   The Chicago Connection, book four, takes Pete and his partner, Dewey Phillips to some uncharted territory. Pete decides to go to Chicago and hopefully turn the tables on Louie Galloway, his old nemesis, and maybe even the mob, while working with a Chicago PI and the Chicago PD. Well, Pete, if you thought it got rough in Memphis last year, you ain't seen nothin' yet? 

   When he swore to eliminate Louie Galloway and finally put an end to this, did he really think Louie's home turf was the place to do it? But that's not all, this is also home turf for the mob, and they have a price on Pete and Dewey's heads too!

I am currectly researching and writing Process of Elimination, the fifth book in the series. I am also narrating books for other authors.
